The Criminal Investigations Section, under the command of the Field Services Lieutenant, investigates criminal acts which occur within the City of Bowie and collects and preserves evidence and property related to criminal cases.
The Bowie Police department provides contemporary law enforcement services to our community in a professional and ethical manner. The Criminal Investigations Section provides services to the community through follow-up investigation of reported criminal offenses, collection and preservation of evidence, detection and apprehension of criminal violators, preparation of cases for prosecution, and referral of completed cases for prosecution. |

It is the goal of the Bowie City Police Department to provide
citizens with cost effective, courteous and professional police services, To
appropriately respond to the needs and concerns of our citizens in a
time-efficient manner. To maximize our effectiveness by participating in
programs such as the North Texas Regional Drug Task Force, Crime Stoppers, Patsy's House
and other partnerships throughout the region.
